Dr. Thomas R. Lanyi

Dr. Lanyi attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, Ca. and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He then attended Chicago Medical School and interned at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. His residency was at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center also in Chicago.

Following his residency, Dr. Lanyi served in the United States Navy as a naval officer. He then returned to California and practiced as a urologic surgeon in San Francisco. After several years, Dr. Lanyi decided to accept a teaching position at Beillinson Hospital Medical Center associated with Tel Aviv University where he was on staff as a professor of urologic surgery.

When he returned to the United States in 1981, he opened Adult Urology Associates in Richmond, Va. where he remains to this day. He has continued his interest in teaching and is an associate professor of urology at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Lanyi is a member of the American Urologic Association, the American Medical Association, the Virginia Medical Society and the Richmond Medical Society. He is board certified in urologic surgery by the American Board of Urology.
